I am uncertain if in your mind at this time there is capacity or even recognized designated space for romance.

It seems to me that space is reserved like a table with empty seats purposefully waiting to be filled at a more stable less uncertain time in your life.

This does not anger me, in fact I find it quite wise.

My table is also reserved, but when you came in I was not so good at keeping the seats unfilled.

I cherish our friendship, more then I’m sure you realize, and am prepared to keep it in my open seating.

But when I think of you there you are in my reserved romance booth. I can not help it or change it. But I need you to know it.

We are in a world of constant movement and change. So it is hopeless or foolish to think that anything romantic would be worth carrying on, only to be torn at the seams when paths are split in a few short months.

Even this rationale and the assumed knowledge of where I sit in your minds diner can’t keep me from placing u seemingly appropriately in mine.
